Fabled Game Studio Is Making Pirates Outlaws 2, The Sequel To Their Hit Roguelike Deckbuilder

Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, the highly anticipated sequel to Fabled Game Studio's 2019 hit, Pirates Outlaws, is setting sail! This enhanced roguelike deck-builder promises a thrilling adventure on the high seas, boasting exciting new features while retaining the core gameplay that made the original a fan favorite. Launching in 2025 for Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games Store, the game is currently undergoing an open beta test on Steam (October 25th-31st). Mobile players will need to patiently await their turn.

What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?

Prepare to embark on a new journey with a fresh hero, whose story unfolds years after the events of the first game. This hero starts with pre-built decks and unique abilities, setting the stage for strategic deck customization.

New additions include:

  • Companions: Introducing companions who bring their own unique cards to the mix, adding another layer of strategic depth.
  • Card Fusion: Combine three identical cards to create a more powerful card.
  • Evolution Tree: Level up your deck through a branching evolution tree, allowing for personalized deck progression. No more useless cards! Everything can be upgraded.
  • Relic System Overhaul: Relics are no longer guaranteed after every battle. Discover them in markets, after boss fights, or during special events.
  • New Battle Countdown System: A new countdown system impacts enemy actions, replacing the end-turn button with a redraw mechanic.
  • Enhanced Armor and Shield System: A revamped armor and shield system adds a new dimension to combat strategy.
