Instead Of The Sims 5, EA Drops A Different Sims Game, The Sims Labs: Town Stories!

A new Sims game is in the works, and it's available now in Australia! While not the Sims 5 we've all been waiting for, The Sims Labs: Town Stories offers a sneak peek at potential future features. This mobile simulation game, part of EA's Sims Labs initiative, serves as a testing ground for new gameplay mechanics.

Currently in its playtest phase, Town Stories blends classic Sims building with narrative elements. Players construct neighborhoods, guide residents on personal journeys, manage careers, and uncover secrets within the fictional town of Plumbrook.

Initial reactions have been mixed, with some criticizing the graphics and expressing concerns about potential microtransactions. However, given its experimental nature, the visuals and gameplay may evolve significantly during further development.

While not yet globally available, you can find the Google Play listing and sign up for access via EA's website (if you're in Australia). Stay tuned for updates and our upcoming coverage of Shop Titans' Halloween event!
