Welcome to Proton Bus Urbano!
This is the classic iteration, centered on city buses for transporting passengers within urban areas. Originally launched in 2017. It's been nearly five years! Our simulator has received numerous feature additions over that time.
The bus modding system is now significantly more advanced, supporting extensive animations for controls, rain effects, windshield wipers, windows, and more. The community has already created hundreds of unique buses, with many more on the horizon!
We plan to release numerous new buses as mods very soon—several are currently in development. Including every bus directly in the game would make it excessively large, and no one uses all vehicles anyway... By distributing them as mods, you can install only your favorites, conserving storage space. All older, non-animated buses were omitted from this edition; they will be re-released as mods in the coming months.
In 2020, we introduced the map modding system—a rarity for mobile titles! Creating maps requires a computer, but they can run on most mobile devices with sufficient RAM once built.
The original route content remains, but with a major focus on custom map creation, its presence will diminish.
This simulator is FREE with optional extras for PAID USERS. You can play the free version indefinitely; we aren't after your money for its own sake. Please purchase only if you GENUINELY APPRECIATE the project and understand its development process. Paid users enjoy an ad-free experience and gain access to exclusive features like virtual mirrors, cruise control (automatic speed maintenance), 360-degree screenshot capture, and more. Nearly all other features and the majority of buses remain completely free.
This is more a simulator than a conventional game. We don't focus on points, checkpoints, or similar mechanics. Simply choose your preferred bus and drive. Given its complexity, there are many controls and settings. We recommend watching a video or tutorial online before raising concerns, as most issues have straightforward solutions. For example, press 'N' before shifting gears to move the bus. Remember to disengage the parking brake. Certain options can cause unintended effects; please read setting descriptions carefully before enabling any specific option, as some work better on particular devices.
This project is available for PC and Android. PCs typically deliver superior graphics quality due to more powerful hardware. Many settings can be adjusted for better performance. The simulator requires a modern mid- or high-end device with substantial RAM (ideally 4 GB or more). If performance is unsatisfactory, try older versions or adjust settings. A known issue exists with 64-bit Unity applications on Android; if you experience poor frame rates, you can download the 32-bit APK from our website, which may improve performance.
Future updates will concentrate on core improvements, especially regarding modding support. This simulator shines with mods—consider how different it would be without them!
You can download mods by searching for "Proton Bus mods" or using the in-game button. Installation requires a file manager. Don't worry—the community is here to help.
Currently, advanced features are tested on a Samsung Galaxy S9, and basic functionality on a J7 Prime. The simulator is not recommended for phones with less than 2 GB of RAM, though you can attempt installation via manual APK/OBB without guarantees. Screenshots were captured on a Galaxy J7 Prime using the "good settings" button.

* New mod installer! Installing mods is now much simpler: after downloading, just share/open the file and select the game! This works for most buses and maps (supporting maps up to phase 3 in this version).
* Shadow improvements (not perfect, but they should look better).
* Added a button to disconnect and delete your premium account (as required by the platform).
