The total number of painted squares, including the one with the clue, must match the number indicated by the clue. The game is designed with a unique fingertip cursor, making it easy and precise to navigate large puzzle grids. To paint a square, simply move the cursor to the desired location and tap anywhere on the screen. For filling multiple squares, hold your finger down until the cursor fills the square, then drag to adjacent squares. Additionally, the Smart-fill cursor allows for quick, single-tap filling of all remaining empty squares around a clue. To track your progress, graphic previews in the puzzle list display the status of all puzzles within a volume as you solve them. A Gallery view option offers these previews in a larger format.
