Ace Trainer is a new Farlight Games release, in soft launch for select regions

by Chloe Feb 26,2025

Farlight Games, fresh off a successful 2024 partnership with Lilith Games on AFK Journey, has a new mobile title in soft launch: Ace Trainer. This intriguing blend of tower defense, pinball, and creature collecting is currently available in select regions, including South Korea and the US.

Ace Trainer features the collection, training, and leveling up of fantastical creatures, reminiscent of Pokémon, but with a unique twist. Instead of traditional turn-based battles, players deploy their creatures in tower defense-style combat against waves of zombies. Pinball mechanics are also incorporated, adding a layer of resource-gathering gameplay.

The game's eclectic mix of genres raises questions about its long-term viability. While each element is individually popular, their combined presence might prove challenging to balance and maintain player engagement. The multiple-region soft launch suggests Farlight has high expectations for Ace Trainer, though a wider release remains uncertain.
