Animal Crossing Hits Mobile with Pocket Camp's Launch

by Adam Dec 12,2024

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is now available for iOS and Android devices! This offline version of the original Pocket Camp offers a complete and definitive experience. While online interaction is more limited, you can still connect with other players in the new Whisper Pass area, exchanging stories and trading Camper Cards.

Importantly, your progress from the original Pocket Camp can be transferred, so you won't have to start over. New ways to earn Leaf Tokens and features previously exclusive to the Pocket Camp Club Monthly Subscription are included.

A fitting conclusion (mostly)

The shutdown of the original Pocket Camp was disappointing for many, but the release of Complete provides a satisfying alternative. A full offline version with bonus features is a rare and welcome outcome. However, this release also highlights the precarious nature of online-only games and their reliance on developer support for continued access.
