When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues through to April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The star of the show is Applin, making its much-anticipated debut in Pokémon GO. This Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hails from the Galar region and is sure to capture your heart.
Evolving Applin into Flapple requires 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. If you're aiming for Appletun, you'll need the same number of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples instead. For its final evolution into Dipplin, and eventually Hydrapple, the journey is exciting but requires careful planning.
Speaking of Apples, they're crucial for Applin's evolution and can be found in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering these Apples increase around Mossy Lure Modules, so make sure to use them strategically.

Applin is a unique Pokémon that spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly hiding from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as just another piece of fruit. It's undoubtedly one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll find new avatar items in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. On the bonuses front, you'll enjoy 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, making it the perfect time to boost your collection.
There's also an increased chance of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Additionally, hatching 7 km Eggs during the event boosts your chances of getting Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet.
