Just one month after its release, including its availability on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have unveiled a new trailer celebrating Avowed. The video features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the action-RPG's warm reception by the gaming community.
The latest update introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advanced technologies significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA showcasing up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. The developers have also hinted at upcoming announcements regarding the game’s future support and roadmap in the coming weeks.
This update is not solely about technical enhancements; it also enriches the player experience. Players will now earn an additional talent point every five levels, and those who have already progressed will receive their points retroactively upon loading the game. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running. Additionally, a new accessibility option increases font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text, making the game more inclusive.
While Avowed didn’t leave critics entirely speechless, it has still managed to secure strong reviews. Digital Foundry went as far as to describe the game as a technical “triumph,” cementing its status as a standout title from Obsidian.
