After months of speculation and leaks, Bethesda is poised to officially unveil the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The announcement is set for tomorrow at 11:00 am EST, and fans can tune in via Bethesda's official channels on YouTube and Twitch.
The teaser shared by Bethesda on Twitter/X today features a prominent "IV" and a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hinting at the nature of the upcoming reveal. The gaming community has been buzzing with rumors about an Oblivion remake for years, with significant leaks emerging recently that have fueled excitement.
The first hint of this project came from a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which mentioned an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although that window passed without a release, fresh leaks in January of this year suggested a comprehensive remake in development, with Bethesda collaborating with Virtuos. The latest leaks, just last week from Virtuos' website, included images that all but confirmed the project's existence.
If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. A Deluxe Edition is also rumored, which will include the iconic horse armor alongside the standard version.
Be sure to watch the announcement tomorrow for official confirmation and more exciting details about this long-awaited remake.
