Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remaster Tomorrow

by Lucas Jun 30,2025

After months of speculation, leaks, and mounting anticipation, Bethesda is reportedly set to officially announce the long-rumored remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion tomorrow—April 22, 2025—at 11:00 AM EST. The announcement will be broadcast live on Bethesda's YouTube and Twitch channels.

While the tweet itself remains vague, the promotional image speaks volumes. Featuring a bold "IV" at its center and a background resembling iconic Oblivion artwork, the visual clues leave little doubt about what’s coming.

Talks of an Oblivion remake have circulated for years, but recent developments have made the rumors harder to ignore. Back in 2020, a leaked Bethesda internal schedule—revealed during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023—listed a planned Oblivion remaster for fiscal year 2022. By then, however, the timeline had already passed, leading many to believe the project had been quietly canceled.

However, new life was breathed into the rumor mill earlier this year when fresh reports surfaced suggesting that the project had evolved into a full-scale remake, being developed by Bethesda in collaboration with Virtuos, a studio known for assisting with high-profile remasters and ports.

Just days ago, even more compelling evidence emerged from within Virtuos’ own website, including screenshots and footage seemingly depicting the game in motion—only further fueling expectations.

If these latest leaks are accurate, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will launch across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. A Deluxe Edition is also expected, featuring exclusive content such as the classic Horse Armor add-on, alongside the standard release version.

Tomorrow’s presentation promises to bring clarity and, hopefully, official confirmation of these details. Be sure to tune in and witness what could be a major moment in the Elder Scrolls legacy.
