Blade Writer Offers Help for Mahershala Ali

Blade's Troubled Reboot Saga Continues

The screenwriter behind Wesley Snipes' original Blade trilogy has thrown his hat in the ring to rescue Marvel's troubled reboot starring Mahershala Ali. What was once one of Marvel's most anticipated projects now appears hopelessly stalled, with mounting evidence suggesting the vampire hunter may never make his MCU debut.

Recent revelations paint a bleak picture of the project's collapse. Flying Lotus, the musician attached to compose for the film, recently confessed on social media: "I was signed on to write music for the new BLADE movie before it fell through." He added with resignation, "Maybe it'll come around again but I doubt it."

The troubles don't stop there. Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter revealed she'd crafted stunning 1920s-era designs before production crumbled - a tantalizing glimpse of what might have been. Actor Delroy Lindo, originally cast alongside Ali, expressed frustration about the project's demise after promising early creative discussions.

Original Trilogy Writer Ponders Marvel's Delays

David S. Goyer, the architect behind Snipes' original Blade films, recently voiced his bewilderment at the reboot's stagnation. "I've been sitting on the sidelines wondering, 'What in the world is going on?'" Goyer told ScreenRant, confirming he'd return if Marvel called. "I'm a huge Marvel fan myself, and I've just been totally puzzled."

While Marvel removed Blade from its schedule seven months ago, Kevin Feige maintains the studio's commitment to the character. "We love Mahershala's take on him," Feige assured fans, though concrete plans remain elusive.

Snipes' Legacy Endures

The original Blade trilogy's impact was recently underscored by Ryan Reynolds, who championed Wesley Snipes' cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine. "There is no MCU without Blade first creating a market," Reynolds tweeted, advocating for Snipes to receive a proper send-off akin to Hugh Jackman's Logan.

As Marvel wrestles with Blade's future, Reynolds is reportedly developing another X-Men project where Deadpool would play second fiddle to other mutants - further evidence of the original Blade films' enduring influence on the superhero genre.
