How Camo Challenge Tracking Works in Blacks Ops 6

by Connor Mar 22,2025

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has arrived, bringing with it a game-changing feature: Camo Challenge Tracking. This handy tool significantly streamlines the often-grueling camo unlock process. This guide will show you how to utilize this new feature to conquer Dark Matter, Nebula, and 100 Percenter with ease.

Simplified Camo Challenge Progress in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

The patch notes highlight Camo Challenge Tracking as a way to “easily track up to 10 Camo and 10 Calling Card Challenges.” But the real benefit lies in its “Near Completion” notification system. This feature allows you to manually select your focus, effortlessly tracking progress without constantly checking the main menu. The system proactively alerts you to challenges nearing completion, even if they aren't among your actively tracked ten.

How to Track Camo and Calling Card Challenges in Black Ops 6

Tracking your progress is simple: Navigate to the Camo or Calling Card challenge you want to monitor. Then, press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracker. This lets you monitor your progress during matches, eliminating the need to check after each game.

Even without manually selecting challenges, the game automatically highlights those closest to completion. This readily available information keeps you informed of your progress toward unlocking new camos and calling cards. Additionally, the Daily Challenge section in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 lobby displays your top tracked and near-complete challenges, providing a comprehensive overview.

The Season 2 update also simplifies the path to special camos. Previously, unlocking a special camo required nine preceding military camos. Now, only five are needed! However, keep in mind that two special camos are still required to earn mastery camos.

This update directly addresses player feedback regarding the sheer number of camos and the difficulty in tracking progress. Treyarch has clearly listened, creating a more efficient and enjoyable camo acquisition system.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
