New Pokémon to Befriend in Pokémon Sleep: Sneasel and Weavile
Pokémon fans rejoice! New Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Sleep. As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available for befriending. This guide explains how.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, you might expect Sneasel and Weavile to appear in snowy locations. In Pokémon Sleep, however, they're classified as Dark-type and appear in two locations:
- Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat.
- Greengrass Isle: Accessible to all players, regardless of progress.
If your current research island doesn't offer these Pokémon, use an EZ Travel Ticket to change locations.
Sleep Types
Both Sneasel and Weavile possess the Dozing sleep type. To increase your chances of encountering them, ensure your sleep type matches for the night. Sneasel, being the pre-evolution, is generally easier to find during Sleep Research. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for Sleep Research data.
Are They Worth It?
Sneasel's primary value lies in Wiki Berry gathering, making it a strong addition to your Snowdrop Tundra team. It also provides an "Extra Tasty" bonus to your dishes. Its ingredient requirements include some rarer items, so a well-equipped Sneasel is a valuable asset.
Speciality | Ingredients | Main Skill |
