Marcin Blacha, the Vice President and Narrative Lead at CD Projekt Red, has made it clear that Project Hadar requires an "exceptional team." The studio is actively seeking skilled developers to fill open roles and help shape this ambitious new project. If you're passionate about game development, now's your chance to get involved and make a significant impact.
Unlike CD Projekt Red's previous ventures, such as The Witcher series, which draws from Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels, and Cyberpunk 2077, which is based on a tabletop RPG, Project Hadar introduces players to an entirely new universe crafted by CD Projekt. While details about Project Hadar are still under wraps (with the only confirmation being that it won't be a space horror), it's known that until recently, the project was being developed by a small team of around twenty people.

Currently, the Hadar team is expanding and recruiting for various critical roles, including programmers, VFX experts, technical artists, writers, and mission designers. The enthusiasm from top developers, who describe this opportunity as a "once-in-a-lifetime chance," suggests that Project Hadar is moving from early conceptual stages into full-scale production.
CD Projekt Red is currently managing multiple projects simultaneously. The largest team is dedicated to Project Polaris, the first installment in a new Witcher trilogy that will focus on Ciri. Additionally, two other teams are working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and another game set within The Witcher universe.
