First China Closed Beta Test for Neverness to Everness

by Jack Dec 24,2024

Hotta Studios' open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test – exclusively in mainland China. While international players will miss out on this initial test, Gematsu's recent lore reveals offer a tantalizing glimpse into the game. The new information expands on the comedic elements of the storyline and the unique blend of the bizarre and everyday life in Hetherau, a city showcased in previous trailers.

Developed by Hotta Studios (Perfect World, creators of Tower of Fantasy), Neverness to Everness distinguishes itself within the increasingly popular urban 3D RPG genre with a key feature: open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize various vehicles, but be warned – realistic crash physics apply!

The game faces strong competition upon release. Zenless Zone Zero (MiHoYo) has raised the bar for mobile 3D open-world RPGs, and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen) developed by Naked Rain, also presents a similar experience. The upcoming release of Neverness to Everness will be one to watch, even if the beta is currently China-only.
