A New Game Is Confirmed

The breakout success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has reshaped the trajectory of Sandfall Interactive, opening doors for new opportunities—including strong hints of another game. In a May 27 interview with GamesIndustry.biz, COO and Producer François Meurisse shared insights into the studio's post-Belle Époque RPG plans.
"A new game is definitely happening," confirmed Meurisse. While details remain scarce, the team is buzzing with anticipation. "We're eager to explore the concepts we’ve already envisioned," he added.

Meurisse noted that the project has sharpened the team's skills significantly. "Many started as juniors, but we’ve grown together," he explained. "Launching our next game from a stronger foundation is thrilling—though expectations are higher now. Guillaume and I already have exciting ideas brewing."
Whether this will be Expedition 33’s sequel or fresh IP remains uncertain. Fans also speculate about potential DLC, especially after Lead Writer Jennifer Svedberg-Yen recently hinted at expansion possibilities.

Expedition 33 keeps breaking records, this time with a whimsical milestone. On May 27, Sandfall Interactive revealed via Twitter (X) that the game sold 3.3 million copies in just 33 days.
The studio tweeted, "This is real—we couldn’t invent these numbers. Your support keeps turning dreams into reality. Thank you!" The achievement underscores the game’s phenomenal reception.
