Crashlands 2 is now available on Android and other platforms, bringing the much-anticipated sequel from Butterscotch Shenanigans to eager fans worldwide. The original Crashlands, released in 2016, was the studio's first major hit, amassing millions of dedicated players.
What’s Different in Crashlands 2?
Once again, you take on the role of Flux Dabes, the same grumpy space-trucker from the first game. This time, Flux returns to the planet Woanope seeking respite from the relentless demands of the Bureau of Shipping. However, upon landing, Flux is greeted with an unexpected explosion, leaving them stranded in a new area, far from familiar faces, equipped only with a handful of gadgets and their quirky survival skills.
Woanope now feels much more vibrant and alive. Players will encounter a diverse array of creatures and explore strange biomes teeming with unique encounters and opportunities, such as luring a Trunkle into a cleverly booby-trapped field. Every character, aside from Flux, is either an alien or a robot, and the game's item names are filled with playful puns and whimsical nonsense, amplifying the humor from the original game.
Combat in Crashlands 2 has seen significant improvements, and base-building has become more intricate. Players can now construct tall walls, authentic roofs, and cozy nooks for crafting and farming. Building relationships with aliens unlocks new recipes and skills, emphasizing the importance of the friendship mechanic. Additionally, the game introduces a pet system where players can find eggs, learn to hatch them, raise the creatures, and have them fight alongside Flux.
A Sci-Fi Survival with Unhinged Alien Adventures
In Crashlands 2, the unexpected explosion that zapped Flux out of orbit hints at a larger, mysterious plot. As players delve deeper into the world and interact with its inhabitants, they begin to unravel the mystery and identify the culprits behind it.
If you enjoyed the first game and are excited to dive into this sequel, you can download Crashlands 2 from the Google Play Store.
