If you've been following our regular feature, the App Army Assemble, you might recall the warm reception we gave to the cyberpunk roguelike deckbuilder, Cyber Quest. If you were intrigued and need another nudge to dive in, the latest update, which introduces Adventure Mode, is sure to pique your interest!
So, what's new? Adventure Mode now offers a more relaxed way to explore the vibrant cityscape of Cyber Quest. Whether you're meeting an array of quirky characters, taking on odd jobs, making tough decisions, or trying your luck at a casino, there's plenty to keep you engaged. You can also tackle hacking minigames and uncover hidden secrets, powerful allies, and formidable enemies.
Yes, that's right—new text adventure events and more await you. But even beyond the adventure aspect, there's a new card class called the Hopper, fresh enemy dialogue to enjoy, a crew randomizer to add some extra excitement to your next run, and squads to help you unlock a variety of preset characters.
Cyber Quest is one of those recent releases that caught my attention, not least because it blends so many of my favorite elements. Although the roguelike deckbuilder genre is increasingly crowded, it's refreshing to see an indie title gain prominence. I'm confident that the new Adventure Mode will add significant longevity for both new and returning players!
