Cyberpunk 2077's Fortnite Crossover: Why No Male V?

Fortnite players eagerly awaited the arrival of Cyberpunk 2077 items, a highly anticipated crossover. While the collaboration was well-received, the absence of the male version of protagonist V sparked fan speculation and debate regarding CD Projekt Red's marketing strategies. The explanation, however, is far less complex.

Patrick Mills, Cyberpunk 2077's lore expert and the decision-maker, clarified the situation. The item bundle was designed for only two characters, one of which had to be Johnny Silverhand. This limitation left no space for both male and female versions of V. With Johnny already a male character, selecting the female V was a practical choice, further influenced by Mills' personal preference.

Ultimately, the omission of male V wasn't a deliberate decision, but a pragmatic one. This marks Keanu Reeves' second Fortnite skin appearance, following the earlier addition of John Wick.
