Delicious: Taste of Truth is now available on mobile, serving as the latest installment in the long-running GameHouse Original Stories franchise. This time, Emily, Patrick, and their children embark on a road trip across America's South.
A family vacation takes an unexpected turn
The story begins with Emily and Patrick balancing parenthood, careers, and their daughter Paige's increasing fascination with social media. Their routine is disrupted when Patrick receives a surprising letter from his estranged father, Paddy, inviting the family to Florida.
What was meant to be a simple visit rapidly evolves into a deeper journey through the South after a long-buried family secret surfaces. This revelation reopens past wounds and uncovers truths that could either mend their relationships or tear them further apart.
As the O’Malley family follows this trail of discovery, you take charge of six distinct restaurants, each with unique themes and recipes. The gameplay retains the classic time-management format, featuring the frenetic pace of cooking, speedy service, and kitchen upgrades.
Delicious: Taste of Truth offers 60 narrative-driven levels, complemented by 30 additional challenge levels designed to test your multitasking prowess. The experience is enriched with various mini-games between levels, along with upgrades that allow you to customize your menu and hire staff.
You can also personalize each restaurant's decor. Paige's photo journal accompanies the journey, letting you unlock snapshots as you progress. Additionally, you can collect pieces to assemble a mural centered on the themes of memory and family heritage.
A series two decades in the making
The Delicious series first began in 2006 with the inaugural title, Delicious. Centered on protagonist Emily, the franchise has grown through its blend of cooking challenges and character-focused narratives.
Over the years, the series has expanded to include over a dozen mainline Delicious games alongside several spin-offs. There have even been crossover titles featuring Emily alongside other characters from the GameHouse Original Stories universe.
