New Digimon Card Game Project Teaser

In line with Bandai Card Games Fest 24-25, which was held on March 14-15 in Japan, Bandai has announced an upcoming Digimon Card Game project. On March 16, the official Twitter (X) account of Digimon TCG posted a teaser trailer hinting that the project would be a mobile app or game.

The 14-second animated teaser featured Renamon picking up a mobile device and getting sucked into the phone. Fans have speculated that this could be an official Digimon TCG mobile client, which players have been asking for since the game’s release. This would possibly bring more players into the game because of its accessibility, similar to how the apps for Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon TCG Pocket have done.

The much-anticipated DIGIMON CON 2025 livestream is scheduled for March 20 at 12 PM JST, which translates to March 19 at 7 PM PST and 10 PM EST. You can catch the event live on Digimon JP’s official YouTube channel.

The event promises a wealth of announcements spanning Digimon games, anime, toys, cards, comics, and more. A highlight will be the release of the 25th anniversary commemorative PV for the Digimon anime, titled DIGIMON ADVENTURE-BEYOND-. Additionally, a collaboration product between GODZILLA VS DIGIMON will be unveiled. The convention will also feature the latest on DIGIMON COMIC topics, 25th Anniversary merchandise for DIGIMON ADVENTURE 02, and a special DIGIMON CON concert.

As previously mentioned, Digimon TCG will share updates on their latest products and provide more information on their new project. Furthermore, there will be updates on Digimon’s upcoming game, Digimon Story Time Stranger. This will be the first time since its official reveal at the PlayStation State of Play in February 2025 that further details about the game will be shared.
