by Thomas Apr 05,2025

Following the exciting reveal of their new project, Project C4, ZA/UM has now announced an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed game, Disco Elysium. This version, exclusive to Android devices, aims to introduce the game to a broader audience while providing a convenient, on-the-go option for existing fans. ZA/UM plans to release the first two chapters of Disco Elysium for free, with the option to unlock the full game with a one-time payment, ensuring an ad-free experience.

ZA/UM emphasized their commitment to transparency, stating, "We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase." The studio, which now includes both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP, is dedicated to maintaining the integrity and quality of the game across all platforms.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new 360-degree scenes and full voiceover audio, designed to immerse players in the world of Revachol and enhance the character-driven experience.

The official description highlights that this mobile version is a "total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium," optimized for short play sessions to fit the lifestyle of today's mobile users.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed to be enjoyed in short bursts, making it perfect for players on the move.

Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025. It's important to note that while the studio retains the same name, many of the original key contributors to Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Some of these former members are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
