In Ubisoft's *Assassin's Creed Shadows*, players encounter a variety of animals, including charming cats. If you're on a quest to discover the cat island in the game, we've got you covered.
How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To embark on your journey to the cat island, you'll need to head to the Omi region. This typically occurs around the midpoint of the story, so make sure your characters are adequately leveled up to tackle the challenges ahead. Navigate northeast within the Omi region to reach your destination.
Your target is Lake Biwa, a vast body of water central to the region. To reach the cat island, it's advisable to secure a boat from nearby settlements like Azuchi or Omizo. Alternatively, if you're up for it, you can swim across the lake.

Aim for the larger island situated in the middle of Lake Biwa, northwest of Azuchi. Upon arrival, you'll discover Okishima Island, which features a Kakurega where you can rest. The presence of fish drying near the docks suggests a haven for our feline friends.
To immerse yourself in the cat-filled environment, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll encounter more and more cats. Don't forget to pet them, as doing so adds them to your collection for use in the Hideout. Keep an eye out for rare kittens, which are particularly elusive elsewhere.

While Leaps of Faith usually reveal new map locations, the true treasure of Okishima is the delightful company of cats. After exploring and landing in the haystack, there's little else to do but enjoy the cats' presence. You'll revisit the island later in Yasuke’s storyline, adding another layer of anticipation.
