Locate Mutt, Your Loyal Canine Companion, in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Dogs are invaluable allies in video games, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is no exception. However, Henry's dog, Mutt, disappears early in the game. This guide reveals how to reunite with your four-legged friend.
Mutt's Location
While a side quest involves finding Mutt, here's a shortcut. Mutt is near a wolf cave southwest of the Nomads' Camp, just east of the river bathing spot. The image below pinpoints his location.
Fast travel to the Nomads' Camp, then head southwest into the woods. This route usually leads you above the cave. You'll hear Mutt's whimpers as you approach. Following the sound will lead you to Mutt and some wolves.
A cutscene will initiate, introducing Mutt and a wolf pack, along with a combat command tutorial. You can fight or flee. While the wolves aren't overly challenging, defeating them provides a skill-boosting opportunity.
After the wolf encounter, Mutt will be under your control. Hold L1 (while facing him) to interact, offering food or sending him home.
Finding Mutt During the "Invaders" Side Quest
Interestingly, you might discover Mutt's location during the "Invaders" quest, particularly if you interact with the Cumans. After drinking with them, Henry follows Vasko uphill for more liquor, leading directly to the cave. This triggers the Mutt/wolf encounter, but attempting this while drunk and possibly in the dark is highly inadvisable.
It's strongly recommended to rescue Mutt during daylight before continuing the "Invaders" quest. Navigating drunk and in the dark significantly increases the difficulty and risk of falling to your death.
