Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025

Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote showcased the RTX 50 series GPUs, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation, initially exclusive to the new lineup. This enhancement significantly boosts FPS in supported games. The flagship model, the RTX 5090 (32GB GDDR7, $1999 MSRP), demonstrates remarkable performance improvements, as seen in Cyberpunk 2077 benchmarks where frame rates leaped from under 30 FPS (with ray tracing and DLSS/MFG off) to 236 FPS (with both enabled).

The Blackwell architecture powering the RTX 50 series builds upon the Ada Lovelace architecture, refining DLSS capabilities. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549). A total of 75 games and applications will launch with immediate support for DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation.

While initially exclusive to the RTX 50 series, Nvidia confirmed that future driver updates will bring enhanced DLSS features (Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and DLAA) to older RTX 40 series cards. Furthermore, upcoming titles like Doom: The Dark Ages will also leverage Multi-Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction.

The impressive list of 75 games supporting DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation includes:

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead Akimbot Alan Wake 2 Aunt Fatima Backrooms: Escape Together Bears In Space Bellwright Crown Simulator D5 Render Deceit 2 Deep Rock Galactic Deliver Us Mars Desordre: A Puzzle Adventure Desynced: Autonomous Colony Simulator Diablo 4 Direct Contact Dragon Age: The Veilguard Dungeonborne Dynasty Warriors: Origins Enlisted Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Fort Solis Frostpunk 2 Ghostrunner 2 God of War Ragnarok Gray Zone Warfare Ground Branch Hitman World of Assassination Hogwarts Legacy Icarus Immortals of Aveum Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Jusant JX Online 3 Kristala Layers of Fear Liminalcore Lords of the Fallen Marvel Rivals Microsoft Flight Simulator Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Mortal Online 2 Naraka: Bladepoint Need for Speed Unbound Outpost: Infinity Siege Pax Dei Payday 3 Qanga Ready or Not Remnant 2 Satisfactory Scum Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 Silent Hill 2 Sky: The Misty Isle Slender: The Arrival Squad Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Star Wars Outlaws Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Starship Troopers: Extermination Still Wakes The Deep Supermoves Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown The Axis Unseen The Finals The First Descendent The Thaumaturge Torque Drive 2 Tribes 3: Rivals Witchfire World of Jade Dynasty

While a precise January release date for the RTX 50 series remains unannounced, the advancements in DLSS technology promise a significant leap forward for PC gaming.
