Torchlight: Infinite's eighth season, dubbed Sandlord, is now live and it's shaping up to be the game's most expansive season yet! This season introduces a host of fresh content that significantly alters the game's dynamics, challenging you to construct your very own floating empire in the sky.
What’s in Store in Torchlight: Infinite’s Eighth Season Sandlord?
The centerpiece of this season is the Cloud Oasis, a city under your command. You'll be venturing into the Netherrealm to gather resources, which you can then convert into tangible benefits by managing workers across five different professions. This approach not only unlocks new trade routes but also provides various bonuses and seasonal rewards, blending the fast-paced action of an ARPG with the depth of a strategy simulation.
The character Thea undergoes a dramatic transformation this season. No longer just a divine channeler, she's morphed into the Blasphemer, a darker entity who spreads desecration rather than blessings. Her new abilities focus on Erosion Damage, which becomes increasingly potent over time, adding a new layer of strategy to your encounters.
The Deep Space region has also received a significant update, featuring five new stages teeming with monsters and survival challenges. Additionally, a new item called Probes has been introduced. Similar to Compasses but occupying a unique slot, Probes boost both the rewards you earn and the difficulty you face.
New Stages Are Here
Endgame enthusiasts have new Legendary Stages to conquer. These stages are rare but offer game-changing loot setups that can alter your gameplay strategy.
Some zones are breaking the mold, like the Abyssal Vault, which contains no enemies at all, just heaps of Mystery Chests ripe for the taking. Conversely, the Sea of Rites is overrun with a non-hostile goblin swarm. Defeating these creatures could summon a secret boss, adding an element of surprise and strategy.
In the Supreme Showdown, both you and the bosses can utilize the Golden Gaze mechanic. A well-timed hit can transform your enemies directly into treasure, making each encounter a thrilling gamble.
Celebrating its second anniversary, Torchlight: Infinite is available for download on the Google Play Store, inviting players to jump into the action of the latest season.
