Eko Software and NACON have released a demo and detailed roadmap for the early access launch of their action RPG, Dragonkin: The Banished. This early access version includes the prologue and first chapter, letting players experience the story through three unique heroes: the Knight, the Oracle, and the Barbarian. Players will also encounter four Vermplings – cooperative companions who join the fight – and utilize the innovative Bloodline Grid skill progression system. Endgame hunting quests and initial hub city upgrades are also included. The demo is available now until March 3, 2025, as part of Steam Next Fest.
The developers have ambitious plans for the coming year. Spring updates will add new abilities, enhanced endgame content, a new endgame activity, and improved hub city features. Summer will bring a new hero, additional skills, and expanded endgame challenges. By autumn, multiplayer support will be implemented, alongside continued refinements to the Bloodline Grid and hub city mechanics.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, players explore a world corrupted by ancient dragon blood. Guide a legendary warrior on a quest to defeat sinister creatures emerging from the earth and confront the powerful Dragonlords behind the chaos. Character growth, equipment upgrades, and Vermpling evolution drive progression, while the strategic Bloodline Grid system allows for deep character customization.
Dragonkin: The Banished launches in Steam Early Access on March 6, 2025, with a full release planned for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
