Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!
Fans of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to wait a little longer to cast their lines on mobile. The mobile port has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt Games has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.
In Dredge, players take on the role of a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. What begins as simple fishing quickly descends into a terrifying journey filled with strange sea creatures, mysterious beings, and the unsettling threat of madness. The unsettling mysteries of a nearby island add to the growing dread.
Interested in participating in the closed beta? Sign up via this Google form. Despite the delay, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has received confirm its worth the wait for those who haven't experienced this unique blend of horror and fishing.
A Challenging Port
Having played the PC version, the delay is understandable. Adapting such a large and detailed world to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for valuable player feedback before the official launch. This should ensure a polished and enjoyable mobile experience.
