Exclusive: Transformers: Reactivated Gameplay Leaks Reveal Canceled Game's Promise

by Hazel Feb 02,2025

Recently canceled Transformers: Reactivate, a co-op game announced in 2022 by Splash Damage and Hasbro, has resurfaced in leaked gameplay footage. The footage, from a 2020 build, showcases Bumblebee battling an alien army called "the Legion" in a ruined city. The gameplay bears resemblance to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, featuring transformations and weapon switching. Despite some unfinished aspects, the footage reveals a polished game with environmental destruction. A brief, silent cutscene shows Bumblebee emerging from a portal in New York City, contacting an ally named Devin. Although the game's cancellation prevents players from experiencing it, the leaks offer a look at its potential.

Leaked Transformers: Reactivate Gameplay

While several leaks exist, dating back to 2020, this recent resurgence provides a clearer picture of what could have been. The footage highlights the visual fidelity and gameplay mechanics Splash Damage aimed for before the project's unfortunate demise. Despite its cancellation, the leaked gameplay offers a compelling glimpse into the ambitious Transformers title.
