How to Extract Items in R.E.P.O.

by Aurora Mar 19,2025

In the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, your primary objective is simple yet terrifying: retrieve valuable items and survive the onslaught of randomly spawning monsters. Success means escaping with your loot intact, earning you hard-earned cash to acquire essential survival gear. The menacing AI Taxman awaits, ready to assess your haul.

Successfully extracting valuable items requires locating and reaching the Extraction Point. Here, your collected treasures are tallied, and the Taxman determines what you can carry to the Service Station. Hopefully, you’ll have plenty of cash to spend!

As you progress through *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes routine. What initially seems daunting quickly becomes second nature as you overcome more levels and monstrous encounters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

Your first *R.E.P.O.* run features a single Extraction Point. However, as you progress to new locations, this number increases, with a maximum of four currently. A red number in the top-right corner of your screen tracks your progress, indicating the total number of drop-offs required and how many you've already completed.

Initially, the Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck—a fixed location for your first haul. Subsequent drop-offs become more challenging. After your first delivery, you'll navigate the level as usual, but the Taxman's demands and the drop-off location remain unknown. This is where your in-game map becomes invaluable.

Pressing "Tab" reveals unexplored areas, aiding route planning and coordination with teammates. The Extraction Point's location becomes apparent—either visually or audibly—upon reaching its vicinity. Once located, press the large red button to initiate the assessment. If you've collected enough, place your C.A.R.T. within the designated grey area to prevent item destruction. Repeat this process for each Extraction Point until you reach the final one. Note that after the last drop-off, you don't need to return the C.A.R.T. to the truck; a new one will appear in the next level.
