Fallout 76 Season 20: Embrace the Ghoul Within!
Fallout 76's latest update, "The Ghoul Within," lets you experience Appalachia as a ghoul! Launched March 18th, this update adds ghoul-themed features, mechanics, and cosmetics to revamp your C.A.M.P.
Become a Ghoul:
Embark on the "Leap of Faith" questline to undergo ghoulification. This journey takes you to a new area of the Savage Divide, introducing you to characters who aid your transformation. As a ghoul, you gain exclusive abilities:
- Glow: Consume radiation, becoming immune to diseases and mutations. You'll literally glow, boosting your maximum health, healing damage, and enhancing "Gherks" (Ghoul-exclusive perks).
- Feral: This replaces hunger and thirst, offering stat boosts based on your Feral meter. A depleted meter (0%) grants +150% melee damage but significantly reduces Endurance, Charisma, health, AP, and accuracy.
Choose from 28 unique Gherks, including 2 new legendary perks. Note: perks related to hunger, thirst, and chem resistance are unavailable to ghouls.
Ghoul Life:
Exploring the irradiated wasteland becomes easier with your new abilities and perks. However, factions like the Brotherhood of Steel may become hostile, potentially restricting access to certain quests. Don't worry! Jaye, a new NPC, provides disguises to bypass these restrictions.
Want to return to humanity? You can revert in the Character Screen, but it's a one-way trip. A Ghoul Retransformation is available for 1000 Atoms.
Level 50 Character Boost & Patch Notes:
Jumpstart your adventure with the Level 50 Character Boost (1500 Atoms), granting access to Daily Ops, Public Events, and story content. The patch also includes bug fixes, balance tweaks, accessibility improvements, combat balancing, and weapon damage adjustments. Bethesda also teases "The Big Bloom" update, arriving April 29th.
Since its rocky launch in November 2018, Fallout 76 has seen significant improvements. Season 20 and consistent updates have earned it a "Mostly Positive" rating (76%) on Steam. Play on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
