In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the side quest "A Good Scrub" sets you on a path that involves multiple bathhouse-related tasks, culminating in the search for an item infested with fleas for Betty. Here's a detailed guide on how to navigate these quests and where to find that elusive flea-ridden item.
Pick Up 'A Good Scrub'
To begin, speak with the innkeeper in Kuttenberg about work opportunities. They will direct you to Betty, the owner of one of the two bathhouses in the city, located in the southeast section. Approach Betty and mention that you've heard she has work available. She'll then task you with heading to Grund to find Matsek.
Matsek is apprehensive about being seen with the girls he's supposed to escort to the bathhouse as employees. To assist, head into the courtyard where Matsek is standing and locate three girls at a table. Inform them that you're there on behalf of Betty, and then escort them back to the city.
Promote the Bathhouse
Upon returning the girls to Betty, she'll ask for your help in promoting the bathhouse to attract customers. Collaborate with her to refine the promotional spiel, then head out to shout it at the grain market, horse market, vintners' street, and merchants' street. Make sure to do this during the day, as the task cannot be completed at night.
Clean Up the Bathhouse and Finish 'A Good Scrub'
After the promotion, you'll need to clean up the bathhouse before the alderman arrives for inspection. Completing these tasks swiftly is crucial; failure to do so will result in the bathhouse being shut down, preventing you from picking up the subsequent quest, "Ill Repute," from Betty.
Finding Fleas for 'Ill Repute' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Once you pass the inspection, talk to Betty again. She'll mention that the city council is deciding on the main bathhouse, and you need to sabotage the competing bathhouse to ensure hers is chosen. To do this, first, gather information on what the councillor dislikes by speaking with Meaty Mary, Katcha, and Little Lida.
To proceed with the sabotage, you'll need Chamomile Brew to add to the wine cask on the second floor of the competing bathhouse. Lida will only reveal that the councillor likes fragrant oils after you give her a noblewomen's dress obtained from a tailor. If you choose to sabotage further, head to the third floor, lockpick a cabinet, and steal the oils.
For the flea-infested item, Katcha will mention that the bathhouse once had fleas. To find this item, head to the east gate of Kuttenberg City. There, you'll discover a small camp of beggars. Search the sacks in the camp to find a flea-infested blanket, which is the hardest item to locate for this quest.
With the flea-infested blanket in hand, return to the bathhouse and head to the same room where you added the Chamomile Brew to the wine. When no one is watching, interact with the baskets in the room and pour the fleas into Councillor Naaz's laundry basket and the clean laundry basket.
If you're unable to find the flea-infested item, remember that completing just one of the three sabotage tasks is enough to make the councillor leave, allowing you to complete the quest and move on to other quests like "Axe from the Lake."
