The buzz around Fortnite's collaboration with Monsterverse has reached a fever pitch as details of the partnership have leaked online. While it was previously announced that the Godzilla skin would be available in Fortnite starting January 17, dataminers have unearthed even more exciting content that Epic Games has included in their latest update.
In addition to the Godzilla skin available through the battle pass, players will have the opportunity to purchase a set featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This set will come with unique jet packs and custom pickaxes tailored for each skin, enhancing the gaming experience with Monsterverse flair.
On January 17, Fortnite will also introduce a thrilling new boss event where one player can transform into an oversized Godzilla, wielding its iconic atomic breath. Players will need to collaborate to take down this colossal beast. The player who inflicts the most damage during the battle will be rewarded with a special medallion granting a unique ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time, with the following pricing:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1,800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One Emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks
Beyond the Monsterverse excitement, Fortnite continues to attract a diverse range of performers and artists. Rumors are swirling about a potential appearance by the iconic Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Fans have spotted intriguing social media interactions, including a post from the Hatsune Miku account mentioning a missing backpack, to which the Fortnite Festival account playfully responded that they had found it.
If the rumors hold true, players can look forward to not only the basic Vocaloid skin but also a "Miku the Catgirl" variant, a stylized pickaxe, and the chance to enjoy a virtual Hatsune Miku concert within the Fortnite universe.
