Fortnite's Kinetic Blade: Location and Gameplay Guide
The Kinetic Blade, a fan-favorite melee weapon from Chapter 4 Season 2, returns to Fortnite Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 1 (Fortnite Hunters). This guide covers how to find and effectively use the Kinetic Blade, helping you decide if it's a superior choice to the season's Typhoon Blade.
Locating the Kinetic Blade
The Kinetic Blade appears as floor loot in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. It can also be found within standard and Rare chests. Currently, its spawn rate is relatively low, and the absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (unlike the Typhoon Blade) further reduces its availability.
Mastering the Kinetic Blade
The Kinetic Blade is a swift melee weapon, allowing for quick attacks that can overwhelm opponents. Unlike the Typhoon Blade's sprint mechanic, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack. This lunge attack inflicts 60 damage upon impact and can be chained up to three times before requiring a recharge.
Alternatively, the Knockback Slash delivers 35 damage and sends opponents reeling. This attack can result in additional fall damage, potentially leading to an elimination if the opponent is knocked off a significant height.
