Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols hidden throughout Act 3, which, despite being labeled "Quest Items," function differently than typical quest items. Unlike most quest items, they don't trigger a quest entry in your log. Instead of progressing a specific questline, they're valuable sellable items.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment in Act 3 and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three Golden Idols, with two more located in the connected area of Aggorat. These idols aren't dropped by enemies; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Idols
Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and speak to Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll buy your idols for a substantial amount of gold:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 gold. Since they occupy inventory space and serve only as valuable trade goods, it's recommended to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your gold and minimize clutter.
