Dead by Daylight's Terrifying Junji Ito Collection: Eight New Skins Unveiled
The asymmetrical horror multiplayer game, Dead by Daylight (DbD), is thrilled to announce a chilling collaboration with legendary Japanese horror manga artist Junji Ito. This partnership brings eight terrifying new character skins inspired by Ito's iconic works to the game.
A Collection of Nightmares
For 40 years, Junji Ito has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique brand of surreal horror. Now, his chilling creations are invading the world of Dead by Daylight in what's being called the "ultimate horror collaboration."
The collection features skins based on Ito's most renowned works, including "Tomie," "Hanging Balloons," and "Rumors." Killers receiving new skins include The Dredge, The Trickster, The Twins, The Spirit, and The Artist. The Spirit and The Artist will boast Legendary rarity skins, complete with bespoke audio and sound effects. Specifically, The Spirit will sport a Tomie skin, while The Artist will be adorned as Miss Fuchi from "Rumors." Survivors Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson also receive new Ito-inspired outfits.
Junji Ito himself was involved in the process, expressing delight at seeing his characters brought to life in Dead by Daylight. In a video shared on the official Dead by Daylight X (formerly Twitter) account, Ito reacted with visible pleasure, noting the enhanced terror of his creations within the game's environment. He even took to the game himself, playing as The Artist, embodying the terrifying Miss Fuchi.
The Junji Ito Collection will be available starting January 7th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Prepare for a truly terrifying experience!
