After first appearing during the Carnival of Love Valentine’s Day event, Enamorus has remained a rare and challenging raid encounter. Its high Attack stat—on par with other Legendaries—makes it a tough opponent. However, understanding its type advantages opens up strategic opportunities for victory.
In this guide, we’ll break down how to defeat Incarnate Enamorus efficiently, including its weaknesses, top counters, and whether a Shiny version is currently available in *Pokémon GO*.
Incarnate Enamorus Weaknesses & Resistances in Pokémon GO
In Pokémon GO, Incarnate Enamorus is a dual-type Fairy/Flying Pokémon. This typing gives it five distinct weaknesses:
- Electric-type attacks (160% damage)
- Ice-type attacks (160% damage)
- Poison-type attacks (160% damage)
- Rock-type attacks (160% damage)
- Steel-type attacks (160% damage)
However, Enamorus also boasts an impressive list of resistances, making some otherwise effective types less viable. It resists:
- Dark-, Grass-, Bug-, Dragon-, Fighting-, and Ground-type attacks
This means you'll need to be selective about which counters you bring into battle.
| Pokémon | Type | Weaknesses | Strong Against | Resistances |
|---|---|---|---|---|
 | Fairy/Flying | Poison Steel Electric Ice Rock | Dragon Fighting Dark Grass Poison Bug Ghost Dark Ground Rock Water | Grass Fighting Bug Dragon Dark |
Understanding Enamorus’ Moveset
While Enamorus has several exploitable weaknesses, its moveset complicates counter selection. Expectedly, it uses Dazzling Gleam (Fairy) and Fly (Flying), both of which are super-effective against many common counters like Dark-, Grass-, and Bug-types.
Additionally, Enamorus may use Zen Headbutt (Psychic) as a Fast Move, which can quickly eliminate Poison-types. It can also learn Grass Knot, which threatens Rock- and Ground-types, further narrowing your options.
Because of this, it's best to focus on counters that align with its five main weaknesses while avoiding those vulnerable to its moveset.
Best Counters for Incarnate Enamorus in Pokémon GO
The most effective counters against Incarnate Enamorus are Steel-, Electric-, and Ice-type Pokémon that have strong same-type moves. These include:
