InZOI will feature ghosts, an afterlife, and a karma system

by Savannah Mar 18,2025

InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed intriguing details about the game's paranormal elements. Players will have limited control over ghosts, a mechanic interwoven with InZOI's karma system. This system tracks player actions, influencing not only their in-game lives but also their afterlife.

Good deeds lead to peaceful transitions, while negative actions might condemn players to an afterlife as a lingering ghost. To escape this spectral existence, these ghosts must earn the missing karma points.

While the early access version of InZOI will feature ghosts, player control over them will be a later addition. Kim emphasized InZOI's focus on realistic gameplay, ensuring paranormal elements remain supplementary. However, he hinted at the potential introduction of other unexplained phenomena in future updates.
