The official synopsis sets the stage five years post-*Jurassic World Dominion*, where dinosaurs struggle to adapt to Earth's ecology, surviving primarily in isolated equatorial zones mirroring their ancient habitats. Within this environment, three colossal creatures hold the key to a groundbreaking drug that could revolutionize human health. Johansson plays Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert tasked with retrieving the vital genetic material. However, her mission takes an unexpected turn when she encounters a civilian family stranded on the forbidden island after their boat is capsized by predatory aquatic dinosaurs. Together, they uncover a sinister secret that has been concealed for decades amidst a diverse population of dinosaurs.
The final trailer showcases several exciting scenes, including a river raft sequence inspired by Michael Crichton's original *Jurassic Park* novel. David Koepp, who revisited Crichton’s works for inspiration, incorporated this previously unused sequence into the film. Additionally, viewers get a closer look at new dinosaurs like the 'D-Rex,' officially named Distortus Rex. Described by director Gareth Edwards as a hybrid between a T-Rex and a Star Wars Rancor, this creature is a terrifying addition to the franchise. "It’s kind of like if the T-Rex was designed by H.R. Giger, and then that whole thing had sex with a Rancor," Edwards explained to Empire.
The trailer also introduces winged Mutadons, a unique blend of a pterosaur and a Raptor, ensuring the film maintains the series' signature terrifying raptor scenes.
