LEGO has unveiled its most impressive Jurassic World set to date: a colossal T-rex skeleton that measures over three feet in length. This set comes with minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, where the skeleton is prominently displayed in the visitor center. Priced at $249.99, this set will be available at the LEGO Store starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders (you can sign up for free here) and on March 15 for everyone else.

LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus Rex
**Release Date**: March 15 (March 12 for Insiders)
**Price**: $249.99
**Pieces**: 3,145
**Ages**: 18+
**Dimensions**: L: 105cm (41.3in) / H: 33cm (12.9in)
Designed for adults, this set comprises 3,145 pieces and is meant for display rather than play. It features advanced building techniques that might be challenging for younger builders. It can be difficult to appreciate the scale of this set from photos alone, but the included minifigures of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler help put its impressive size into perspective. The skeleton's skull is similar to the current LEGO T-rex skull set, which my son built and found to be visually appealing. However, the full skeleton in this new set adds significantly to its overall impact.
LEGO Jurassic World Dinosaur Fossils: T-Rex Skeleton
The T-rex skeleton boasts articulated joints, allowing for various poses. You can move the head, open the jaw, and adjust the arms and tail. As with many LEGO movie sets, it includes hidden Easter eggs to discover during the building process. Additionally, the set comes with a display stand and an informational plaque detailing the T-rex's diet, habitat, and more.

Although LEGO's Jurassic World collection is not as extensive as its LEGO Star Wars or LEGO Harry Potter series, it is rapidly expanding. Personally, I am excited to see more adult-focused sets like this T-rex skeleton included in future releases.
