Netflix has just unveiled the opening trailer for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Devil May Cry, set to premiere on April 3, 2025. The trailer features the iconic track "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit, perfectly setting the stage for dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit. Fans of the series will appreciate the numerous nods to the original video games, enhancing the excitement around the anime's release.

Showrunner Adi Shankar has shared his ambitious vision for the series, which is set in the late 90s to early 2000s. Shankar believes the soundtrack, featuring hits from that era along with reimagined tracks from the games by the synthwave duo Power Glove, captures the essence of the time period brilliantly. He also hinted at future seasons diverging in visual style and soundtrack to reflect the diversity of the Devil May Cry games, suggesting that the series will extend beyond a single season.

While plot specifics remain under wraps, the first season will draw from the manga "Code 1: Dante" (Devil May Cry 3), where a youthful Dante, the demon hunter, delves into a child's mysterious disappearance. This investigation leads him to confront his past, his family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda. The season will comprise 8 episodes, promising a thrilling journey for viewers.
