Marvel Rivals Announces Balancing Changes in Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes

Get ready for the chilling arrival of Dracula and the Fantastic Four in Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST! This season brings a host of exciting updates, including new maps, game modes, and a revamped battle pass.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 enticing skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman join the fray immediately, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving a few weeks later.

This season also introduces three new maps and a thrilling new game mode: Doom Match.

Balance Adjustments:

NetEase Games has detailed significant balance changes designed to shake up the meta. Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant forces, will receive nerfs following their overwhelming success in Season 0. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will receive buffs to enhance their effectiveness in combat.

Other notable adjustments include:

  • Buffs: Wolverine, Storm, and Cloak and Dagger will see performance boosts, encouraging diverse team strategies.
  • Jeff the Land Shark: Adjustments will be made to better align his early warning indicators with his ultimate's actual hitbox. While his ultimate's power has been a point of discussion, no major changes have been announced yet.

The developers haven't commented on the Seasonal Bonus feature, a subject of ongoing player debate.

Season 1 promises a thrilling experience with fresh content and refined gameplay. Prepare for a night of eternal battles!
