Marvel Rivals developers know about fps pay-to-win bug, fix incoming

by Ethan Jan 18,2025

Marvel Rivals's strong launch, boasting hundreds of thousands of concurrent Steam players, contrasted sharply with Overwatch 2's downturn. However, a significant and frustrating bug casts a shadow over this success.

We previously reported on a performance-based issue affecting low-end PCs: reduced hero movement speed and damage output at low frame rates. The developers have acknowledged this bug and are actively working on a solution.

Resolving this complex problem completely will take time. Therefore, Marvel Rivals Season 1 will see an interim fix primarily focusing on improved movement. Addressing the damage reduction issue will require a more extensive effort, with no firm timeline for a complete resolution currently available.

Our recommendation remains: prioritize maximum frame rate over graphical fidelity in Marvel Rivals. This will mitigate the performance disadvantage caused by the bug.
