Marvel Rivals to Feature PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Suit This Month

by Patrick May 16,2025

Marvel Rivals players are in for an exciting treat with an unexpected crossover that introduces the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 into the game as a new skin.

PlayStation shared the news through a post on X/Twitter, giving fans a first glimpse of how NetEase Games has creatively adapted the iconic video game outfit for its new hero shooter.

The sleek Advanced Suit 2.0 first debuted as an original design in Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man and has since become a staple across all three entries in the series. The suit is instantly recognizable by its striking white spider symbol, and its inclusion in Marvel Rivals marks a thrilling collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero title. Players can look forward to snagging this stylish Spider-Man suit from the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PC.

Marvel Rivals has a surprise collaboration with Sony's Spider-Man game.

Since its launch in December, Marvel Rivals has been delighting players with a plethora of unlockable suits. The addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out as a unique gem, especially given its connection to the immensely popular PlayStation series. Fans will be thrilled to know that Yuri Lowenthal, the voice behind Peter Parker in all three Insomniac Spider-Man games, also lends his voice to Marvel Rivals’ version of the character. Those who purchase the suit on January 30 will feel a seamless transition as they swing into action.

NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds to the excitement surrounding everything that dropped with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This inaugural season introduced new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, including Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch soon to follow. Creative Director Guangyun Chen has also committed to launching at least one new hero every month and a half, promising a steady stream of fresh content.

While we eagerly await the chance to don the new Spider-Man suit, take a moment to explore some of the custom skins players have modded into the game. Additionally, you can delve into all of the balance changes introduced with Season 1 and learn about how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players.
