Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
This guide details the competitive rank reset in Marvel Rivals, a free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter. Learn about the reset mechanics, timing, rank tiers, and season duration.
Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season, your competitive rank is demoted by seven tiers. For example, a player ending the season at Diamond I will begin the next season at Gold II. Players at Bronze III, the lowest rank, remain there after the reset.
Rank Reset Timing
The rank reset occurs at the conclusion of each season. Season 1, for instance, commenced on January 10th, indicating the reset's approximate timing for future seasons.
All Competitive Ranks
Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression through ranks is based on accumulating 100 points per tier. The ranks are:
- Bronze (III-I)
- Silver (III-I)
- Gold (III-I)
- Platinum (III-I)
- Diamond (III-I)
- Grandmaster (III-I)
- Eternity
- One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, players can continue earning points for Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.
Season Duration
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are expected to last approximately three months. New seasons will introduce fresh content, including new heroes (like the Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time for rank advancement.
