Are you ready to challenge for the title of Sorcerer Supreme? Marvel Snap has introduced a thrilling new limited-time mode called Sanctum Showdown, which will run until March 11th. This event brings a fresh twist to competition with a unique win condition, a special Sanctum location, and innovative snapping mechanics.
In the Sanctum Showdown mode, the traditional gameplay is altered significantly. Rather than playing until turn six, victory is awarded to the first player who reaches 16 points. The Sanctum location is pivotal, as it awards the highest points each turn. Starting from turn three, you can snap once per turn, which increases the Sanctum’s value by one point, constantly shifting the game's momentum.
Each match in Sanctum Showdown costs one Scroll to enter, but winning a match rewards you with another Scroll, allowing continuous play. You begin with 12 Scrolls and receive two additional Scrolls every eight hours. If you run out, you can purchase more for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match outcome, every game contributes to your Sorcerer Rank and earns you Charms. These Charms can be spent in the Sanctum Shop on cosmetics or new cards.
Strategizing with popular cards like Captain Marvel or Dracula won't work in this mode, as certain cards and locations are banned to ensure fair play. Abilities that affect final outcomes are disabled, and other cards such as Debrii are removed to prevent dominant strategies.
To excel in Sanctum Showdown, consider crafting your deck using our *Marvel Snap tier list*. Exclusive cards like Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben are available only in this mode until they appear in the Token Shop on March 13th. Through Portal Pulls, you have the chance to unlock these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.
Sanctum Showdown will be available in Marvel Snap until March 11th. For more detailed information, be sure to visit the official website.
