Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters

Rifts are rarely good news in games, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated title, Eerie Worlds. This follow-up to Cards, the Universe and Everything shifts the focus to monsters emerging from these rifts, offering a unique blend of strategy and learning.

Avid Games has crafted a visually stunning array of monsters, each inspired by real-world creatures from mythology and folklore across the globe.

From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake to Slavic legends such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, the game boasts an impressive roster. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others join the fray, each accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions to enhance the gameplay experience.

Eerie Worlds introduces four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, adding significant tactical depth. Monsters may share some properties but differ in others, creating strategic complexity.

Your Grimoire, your personal monster collection, can be upgraded by merging duplicate cards. Starting with 160 base cards, merging unlocks a wealth of additional creatures, with more promised in future updates.

Avid Games plans to release two more Hordes in the coming months, ensuring Eerie Worlds remains engaging and challenging even with extensive playtime.

Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, then battling through nine intense 30-second turns. Players must strategically manage mana, exploit synergies, and make critical decisions under pressure.
