At the ID@Xbox Showcase event, the team behind Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault unveiled an exciting new trailer, giving fans a sneak peek into the much-anticipated sequel. It was also announced that the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, with a launch expected before the year's end.
Developed by Digital Sun in collaboration with publisher 11 bit studios, this isometric action-adventure RPG incorporates roguelike elements. Players will embark on a quest to transform their humble shop into a thriving business by exploring dungeons, collecting rare artifacts, and battling formidable creatures.
Digital Sun revealed that Moonlighter 2 builds upon the original game's core, offering richer storytelling and improved gameplay mechanics. The narrative follows the protagonist, Will, as he searches for his home dimension within the vast world of Trense. Along his journey, Will reconnects with old allies and forges new friendships. His adventure leads him to encounter a mysterious trader who enlists his help in finding powerful relics that are rumored to guide him back to his origins.
The game's soundtrack is composed by the renowned Chris Larkin, known for his work on Hollow Knight. Fans can look forward to the release of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault later this year on PC (via Steam), Xbox Series, and PS5.
