Netflix and Supercell have announced they are bringing the beloved Clash franchise to television with an animated series set in the Clash of Clans and Clash Royale universe.
According to a Netflix press release, the series, currently in pre-production, will expand on the chaotic fun of the games. The plot will follow a well-meaning but overwhelmed Barbarian as he must unite a quirky band of villagers to defend their home and deal with the hilariously absurd politics of an ongoing war.
The official Clash of Clans social media channels joined the celebration. They posted a playful teaser video featuring developers announcing the project on a group call, with the message: "Sound the horns, raise the banners, and reinforce your village walls—Clash is invading @Netflix! We're making a new animated series starring your favorite mustachioed Barbarian and his high-pitched, hog-riding friends. Charge!"

Netflix executives expressed their enthusiasm for adapting the long-running game series. John Derderian, VP of Animation, stated, "Clash has been a global gaming phenomenon for over a decade, packed with the humor, action, and iconic characters ideal for an animated series. In collaboration with the talented team at Supercell, we're capturing the fun, chaos, and heart of the Clash world in a fresh new way for both longtime fans and new audiences."

As the Clash animated series is still in early development, a release date has not been announced. Netflix has made significant investments in video game adaptations, with critical successes like Arcane (League of Legends) and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners leading the charge.
