Let the demon hunting begin. Netflix is bringing the beloved video game series Devil May Cry to life with a thrilling anime adaptation, and fans have just been treated to a tantalizing new trailer. But the excitement doesn't stop there—the legendary late voice actor Kevin Conroy, renowned for his iconic portrayal of Bruce Wayne and Batman across numerous animated projects, will posthumously lend his voice to the series as VP Baines. Conroy's voice can be heard at the beginning of the trailer, introducing his new character.

PlayBack in July 2024, Conroy received acclaim for his posthumous role in *Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part 3*, making his involvement in *Devil May Cry* an eagerly anticipated treat for fans. Conroy passed away in November 2022 at the age of 66, and his continued presence in new projects is a testament to his enduring legacy. Joining Conroy in the cast are Scout Taylor-Compton as Mary, Hoon Lee as White Rabbit, Chris Coppola as Enzo, and Johnny Yong Bosch as the titular character, Dante.

According to the official Netflix synopsis, “Sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”

The series is under the stewardship of showrunner Adi Shankar, known for his work on films like the 2012 Judge Dredd reboot, Killing Them Softly, and The Voices. Shankar is also set to executive produce an adaptation of Assassin’s Creed, though its long-delayed status leaves its future uncertain.

Studio Mir, a respected South Korean studio with credits including The Legend of Korra and X-Men ‘97, will handle the production of this highly anticipated series. Devil May Cry is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on April 3, 2025.
